What is wrong with the Quran? When I read the Quran I feel peaceful and calm. Have you ever read the Quran?

Like every other holy book, it was written by humans.

Yes. I read a good part of it. To tell you honestly, none of the books of abraham has lifted my spirits and made me feel at peace. I don't feel peace when I'm placed at a lower position. It's degrading. So, that's why I didn't finish reading it.

We are subject to biases. We invent supernatural stories to explain the things we don't understand. We treat other humans as an inferior species. And yes, humans are a disease to the planet.

It's an issue more because humans are eminently fallible, whilst the book is seen as flawless.
It made me a little sleepy...which is kinda peaceful and calm if you squint a little. Does that make me a Muslim?

I have read small portions of it briefly, but it doesn't have the same effect on me. Is it that it's so comforting to you because it is familiar, and you are able to get more out of it? It's like when I read my favorite novel; others I know might enjoy it, but they may not be as moved by it because it doesn't have the same familiarity and significance for them as it does for me.

I have read the whole thing maybe once years ago, i have tried many times since to have another crack at it but then opening the Koran the forth verse of fitna, where it says "Master of the day of judgement", while praising Allah, i loose interest, maybe because after reading all these Hindu texts and because i know of the concept of Karma, to read something that states that there is like one day of judgement and Allah is its master just is contradictory to what i know about actions and consequences (Karma). But even going past this, when i start at al-baqarah and it says "Alif, Lam, Meem", or in some translations it just has A.L.M as the begging, but it does not explain what this means or why ALM is even written there. So it is just not my cup of tea from the outset.

You're not going to like this but since it contradicts the New Testament I think everything is wrong with the Quran.

I read about a theory that the original Koran was written in aramaic.
Later this was forgotten and when the Koran was transcribed into arabic language the writters misunderstud many words and sentences.
For instance the thing with the 72 virgins in paradise is a misunderstanding from the original aramaic where it speaks about white grapes.

It portrays disbelievers in a very unflattering light and that does not sit well with many non-Muslims. If you are a Muslim you might not even notice all the passages haranguing the disbelievers as if Allah has real issues with those who dare not to recognize him. I get the distinct impression that Allah is a very insecure god and one not worth believing in. If Allah is reality then we are all doomed. When one reads the Bhagavad-Gita, Krsna sound really cool and comes across as a loving being. Big difference.
Lastly, I am always peacefilled and calm so the shallow work that is the Qur'an has little effect on me. In general, unless you are a Muslim, the book is a horrible mess and a total downer.

To match other verse, the white grapes would need to be 'large of eye' with 'swelling breasts' though.
And there is also reference to males who will serve them "And will circulate among them boys for them, as if they (were) pearls well-protected." 52:24
Arabic possibly developed as a dialect of Aramaic, they are certainly related anyway.
The majority of the 'Abrahamic' content seems to have crossed into Arabic via the Syrio-Aramaic Christian tradition.
To see the Quran as a translation is probably going too far, especially as it refers to itself as an 'Arabic Quran'. That there are Syrio-Aramaic influences (linguistic and cultural) in the Quran however is pretty clear cut.
Even the word Quran itself derives from "Syriac qǝryānā, “reading of Scripture in Divine Service”, etymon of Arabic qur’ān"

It puts a interesting look on those who say that because they are calling themselves limited, inferior, etc. I never saa myself in such a crude light. Aweful.

I never saw myself a disease to the planet. That outlook reminds me of the inherited sin doctrine. Im more for we are all sinless at heart. We live in a world trying to live among each other. Yet, like animals, there will always be conflict. Its natural, survival of the fitess. Healthy, no. But I woulsnt call anyone including myself and you diseased because of it.
