What is wrong with those people who smoke cigarettes? If smoking tobacco relaxes one, then is it like a drug? The more you take it, the more you need it?

In addition to the damage it does to the smoker's health it is a public health hazard through second hand smoke, and to us non smokers, it is a filthy, stinking public nuisance and cause of annoyance to most people. And if that isn't bad enough, it is an expensive addiction that the most vulnerable, poor people in society are very susceptible to. That should do for starters!

This is how Australians are confronted with the dangers of smoking....the cigarette packets are covered in the most revolting images of tobacco related health problems. How is this stuff still legal?

Yet they still front up to the cigarette counter and buy their smokes, knowing full well that this could turn out to be them one day.

Some people just smoke in front you. I had one person ask me if I mind if they smoke in front of me and I said: yes, that person still smoked in front of me.

They're bored. Least the one's I've asked. It passes time. They also assume they will win the game of Russian Roulette they play with their health. My younger sister died at 46 because of lung cancer. My mother a smoker her entire life is still going strong at 77.

According to WIKI, Indian Americans smoked tobacco for religious purposes.

Right now, I am in the airplane flying over pacific. I can smell cigarette smoke in the air, because maybe someone is smoking in the toilet. If they don't care about themselves, how can they care about others?
