I didn't realise candy bars varied by country until my first trip to the US 45 years ago.

The Most Popular Candies in 20 Countries

Do to the large Bosnian population we have locally, we get a lot of Croatian candy at the grocery store that they tend to frequent. Croatian chocolate simply can't compare to the general stuff they sell at the gas station. The Ali Baba bars we get at the Pakistani grocer are also awesome.

My husband really likes the spicy tamarind candy they sell at the Latino grocery. I'm a bit iffy on that. Not a fan of the gritty texture.

But, if I'm stuck with gas station candy, I'm with @dybmh . Whatchamacallit , please.

What do they use now?

Didn't know they changed. I used to eat those two or three at a time.

The wrapper has been plastic for years now. It used to be you slid the bar out of the outer wrap and then unfolded the foil inner wrap. Everything changes...
