I don't think many of us have to worry about Valhalla anyway. It's only the Víkingtrú and Brósatrú on the internet who think they're going to Valhalla if they yell ODIN!!! enough.

LOL Indeed.

Apparently unaware that offering people to Woden was something done in execution and to one's enemies... implying that Valhalla may not be a paradise for everyone.

I've even read that Valhalla may have been a sort of "compensation" for dying in battle away from one's home, and by extension, ancestors, which would have been FAR preferable.

ODIN AKBAR!

I find this interesting to think about. If a bunch of people have this goal, won't they all eventually have to face off against eachother?

They could all claim an equally infinite piece...

Yep. For that reason, I'm pretty sure not every follower of Odin was ever expected to go to Valhalla.

Didn't work out for the Immortals from Highlander. ;)

Indeed. "Hall of the Slain" is pretty much the literal translation (val = Old English wæl, meaning "slaughter" or "slain [person]"), which pretty much indicates that it's one of the few parts of Lore that Manowar pretty much got perfect.

Of course, the immortals in Highlander were trying to get control of a very finite Earth.
