What Keeps You Awake At Night?

No need to be too personal if you think it's not for us to know, but what keeps you awake at night? What really plays on your mind sometimes?

I'm petrified of dying single and childless. At times it seems to be that way going.

I'm usually wondering if the noises which are probably coming from my pets actually are coming from my pets and not a home intruder.

Caffeine and sick babies. Speaking of sick babies, my two year has the cold. I'm pretty sleepy right now so what a coincidence of a thread.

I'm not petrified of dying single, old and childless (as far as I know). At times it seems to be that way going. Lots more to go for some than others. Not sure what keeps me awake all too often, but I rarely get a solid night's sleep. Still seem to function reasonably well though. o_O

What keeps me awake at night? Rival. There's no telling what horrors she's up to! No telling at all!

Seriously, I cannot recall the last time I had trouble getting to sleep. I know it has happened, but it's been ages since it has happened.

Human stupidity sometimes, though I've pretty much lost all hope there, so now I sleep better. Lucky for me I won't have to live with all the consequences of the actions of insane leaders, business gurus and the filthy rich.

If I'm tired I usually fall asleep, but there are times when I am afraid for no apparent reason. I'll imagine the darkness is too dark or that what if there are spiders in my covers etc. or I will think things like "I'm awake so why not go on the internet for a bit?"

Depression does sometimes. I've had days when getting to sleep was challenging due to overthinking and depressive thoughts.

Otherwise not much. I can sleep well on most days.

I'm a night person, so for me there is nothing worse than going to sleep. I fight it like a toddler crying because it's bed time. It's not uncommon for me to get 3-4 hours of sleep before work when I have to wake up early the next morning.
