What Keeps You Awake At Night?

At the moment I'm not having trouble sleeping, that's not always the case.

When i was working i solved the hardest problems at 4am after spending several nights wide awake pondering the problem.

Children have a tendency to reduce sleep in parents, despite the occasional blip that inconvenience reduces as time passes. I'm told mid teens can also be a source of sleepless nights, i have a few years sleep before then.

There was a time I'd wake up from a nightmare screaming, it would take until the morning before i settled again. it still happens but vary rarely, seems that time does heal.

I spent most of 2017 without sleeping, or so it seemed. A family problem that has been resolved.

And now to bed to sleep the night,
Close my eyes and start to yawn,
Have pleasant dreams until the dawn.

No need to be too personal if you think it's not for us to know, but what keeps you awake at night? What really plays on your mind sometimes?

I'm petrified of dying single and childless. At times it seems to be that way going.

Silence, I can't find it in the daytime.

The fact that I'm alone and that most people my age have achieved a lot more in their lives. Conversely I feel like I'm not emotionally mature enough to handle relationships. Explain how that makes sense.

I have a busy and full life with involvement in the activities of my faith community, family, and work commitments. Sometimes I sleep well and other times I'm restless. Basically I'm a chronic insomnaic, there doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason to it, so I've just learnt to go with the flow.

I used to think I would end up single and didn't marry until I was in my mid 30s. The best advice I had was instead of looking for the right person, become the right person.

OP, nothing really plays on my mind at night that keeps me waken; it's probably from all of the sugar that I consume on the daily basis.
