Even apparently positive actions can stem from negative desires. The more any of us can practice real love in action the more positive the result. And that love can be expressed in very apparently small ways even by thoughts such as being patient with a cashier in a store, thinking kindly of others, doing something special for a loved one and so forth.

Bible promises eternal life only for righteous.

These will go away into eternal punishment, but the righteous into eternal life.
Matt. 25:46
For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Romans 6:23

If you do good actions only to earn heaven, then you probably are not a righteous person.

Why on earth is practicing misogyny and racism included in the poll?o_O
I'm sure it wasn't intentional, but I just thought I'd say I got a laugh out of seeing you pick out misogyny and racism out, but not slavery. :D

Apparently, the gates of heaven remain closed to one that has never owned another person.

@SalixIncendium Actually I did consider the slavery option. But seeing that ISIS seemed to have reintroduced it in at least one form I thought that some just might see it as having spiritual value. Being unsure of the facts I decided not to pursue it.
