Not really. There is nothing special in following a false messiah.
I agree there is nothing special in following a false messiah.
To me in Scripture Jesus proved to be the foretold Messiah as foretold by Daniel at Daniel 9:24-27.
That does Not make Jesus a false messiah.
Over 5 centuries in advance the exact year as foretold in holy Scripture, the exact year of Messiah's appearance.
This being Messiah's arrival being measured in weeks of years, meaning that each ' week ' was 7 years long.
Thus, there would be 7 plus 62 of such weeks, making a total of 69 weeks of years.
This equals 483 years beginning that span of years when God's servant Nehemiah arrived in Jerusalem and began to rebuild Jerusalem.
(Persian history established that date as 455 BCE ( before our common era) - Nehemiah 2:1-5)
(Persian King Artaxerxes authorized Nehemiah to restore and rebuild Jerusalem - Nehemiah 2:1-8)
Scripture has Jesus baptized as Messiah in the year 29 CE (common era )
That matches exactly to Daniel 9:25.
Besides today's un-stable world (human society) parallels with past comparisons - Noah's day for one.
The time is ripe for the fullment of the 3rd chapter of Joel.
The symbolic ' stars ' ( men looked up to as stars ) will loose their shining position - Joel 3:15; 2:31
They shed No spiritual light but keep the world of mankind in spiritual darkness.- 1 Thessalonians 5:2-3.
This is why it will come as a big surprise when the the ' powers that be ' will be saying, "Peace and Security..."
This will prove false and will be the precursor to the coming great tribulation of Revelation 7:14,9.
As it was a 'destructive judgement' for the violent people of Noah's day, and a 'rescue judgement' for Noah and family, so it will be for the humble meek who will inherit the Earth as per Psalms 37:9-11.
