What makes Hell different ?

Not being a believer, I would have to believe that if hell really existed,
that the fear of hell would be worse than the going there at all,
but I don''t believe in any of this so it doesn't matter !

I do stuff
Well, as am not getting the answers what I was expecting, Thus am rephrasing my question once again here :)

Q: What is there in Hell, that isn't on this earth ?

Thus both are equal, imo.
There is no peace in hell, no rest, no quietude. no stillness, only chaos.

Heaven is the world of permanent peace and happiness, whereas Hell is the world of temporary peace and happiness. Well, that is the big difference. isn't it ?

I would like you to Justify this very crude and subjective, even irrational, opinion of what may or may not occur after death. You apparently suppose things, that in high probability, do not even exist, therefore you run the risk of being declared a false witness. Please indicate otherwise. It is all very well believing this "horrible world" will end and you will be delivered to some hypothetical paradise. But consider , you will be dead and very unconscious totally unaware of any of your surroundings for an extraordinarily long time, why is it so hard to take the time and appreciate the short glimpse of the present world and universe you have been blessed with? Your comments seem childish, my suggestion is simply "grow up".

Cheers

If there's 'Hell',
What makes 'Hell' different from the world in which we are already living in ?
I don't think from any view-point you can differentiate 'Hell' from the world in which we are currently residing in.

There's no beauty in that place compared to where we are now. That would be the difference I guess.

Hell is not a place of fire and torment. When you die ,you go to the grave. You do not go to heaven or hell.

Oh!...solitary confinement....in a box!
Eternal darkness is real!
(yes it is)
Your body is in a box.Your body is not you.Your soul, your spirit,is you.Your body returns to the earth and becomes dust. When the time comes,God will raise you. When you die,you are not aware of anything. You cease to exist.A hell of fire and torment is something conjured up by those who do not have an accurate knowledge of the truth. No real understanding of the holy scriptures.

For the non-believers, I hope you're right.

As for me.....
I've been blind seven days....did not stop 'seeing'.
I've known my limbs when cold and unresponsive....did not stop 'feeling'.

I have no cause to say my thoughts and feelings stop when the chemistry fails.

True enough this parcel of flesh has unwritten rules...and you seem aware.

You can't get out of your body.
Even now when you say as you do, perform as you can.
No escape, no matter the degree of misery.
No release, until the last breath.

But neither is there a guarantee.

You did not put you in that body.
It might not be up to you, if you are to be free of it.

Heaven will be there to see what comes from the dust.
But I see no cause or assuredness, the chain will be broken.

The angelic may very well leave us wherever we fell.

Sure.God does not punish people by roasting them alive in a fire for all eternity.Everlasting life is a gift. Why would God burn you forever? That makes no sense, and would render Him a cruel God.God is love.Yes,if we do not follow His commands we will not inherit everlasting life. This is true. But He will not torture us.Eternal damnation really means eternal separation from or God and creator. It does not mean we will burn in hell. Those who do as God commands will inherit life everlasting. Those who do not follow His commands will not inherit life everlasting. They will be forgotten.

Here is an example of how God feels about burning people alive in fire.

Jeremiah 7:31 They have built the high places of Topheth in the Valley of Ben Hinnom to burn their sons and daughters in the fire--something I did not command, nor did it enter my mind.

Jeremiah 19:5 They have built the high places of Baal to burn their children in the fire as offerings to Baal--something I did not command or mention, nor did it enter my mind.

So we can clearly see from these two passages that God does not condone such behavior. He even says it is something that never entered His mind.

People think this is how it really is.Very good song and well performed but far from the truth.

In catholic schools it is taught as a state of existence between heaven and hell.
You go there for 'purging'.
When 'clean' you proceed to heaven.
