What makes you feel the most alive?.

Some possibilities: exercise, sports, meditation, religion, reading, school, hobbies, games, travel, shopping, art, music, tattoos.

I take delight in many things, but probably feel the most alive after going on a walk in the woods. I wasn't sure where to post this, but religious or non-religious answers are valid.

.

Life for me is such a composite it's rather hard to identify specific things... being with friends and family... Prayer.. realizing where I've been and where I am and where I'm going.

Looking out over something awesome. You feel small compared to the Grand Canyon but you feel good. Perhaps God made us that way to hold Him in awe and feel good about it.

Writing, reading, going mini hiking when its not raining or snowing, spending time alone, in-line skating, ritual prayer, prayer in general. Anything that I have the freedom of speech, body, and expression is what makes me feel alive. My life is an art.

Hope that things will be better soon.
Relaxation by meditation, incense and a statue of the Buddha with beautiful flowers and peacock feathers.
A vision to help those who are in need.
And some guys running topless in the streets early morning. :D

Music, concerts, drinking, reading a good novel, watching a good movie, playing a good video game, the ocean, trees, a churning overcast sky, local wildlife, etc.

While making humble efforts to talk about and to clear misunderstandings against true-Islam, by the grace of God.

1. When i dont blame the world for how i feel or what i think.
2. When i actually do things which do no harm to others or me.
3. The clearest realisation of "alive" is when i meet others. Talk and do things under rule 1 & 2.

I realize then that i am truely alive. When i notice that i am in love with being alive. Love,

Friendship or Agape is the limitation of my hopes and expectations.

And finally when solitude is replace by community. That i can lay my head at rest. And simply live in the spirit of love.

I am a blank page.

What does it mean to "feel alive?"

I get the sense people are interpreting that very differently than I do. To me, "feeling alive" is feeling viscerally one's animal body. It is evoked during particular physical sensations, and is not at all cerebral or mental. Above all else, pain evokes that visceral awareness of the animal body. Pain demands attention, acts as a sharp reminder of aliveness. Pain and blood.

Skiing is a big one for me, it's my favorite activity. Standing at the top of a massive bowl, looking off the edge with a mixed sense of terror and excitement, then taking that push forwards and that first turn against the pull of gravity...awesome.
