what matters most ? -money, influence over others, notoriety, being loved. loving others? do you actually prefer to be 'one of the soldiers', rather than a chief ?:)

Hi Michel, for me, my earthly blessings are nothing in comparison to my treasures in Heaven...

On that note tho, if I had to pick what would be more important to me here on earth it would have to be serving others...I enjoy taking care of people especially the elderly and poor... :)

Oh I would most definintely have to say my children! They are the most important thing in my life. Everything I do is for them. To see their little faces light up when I come home from work each evening makes my life worth living. I love them more than anything! My children are my life!

Im not sure. My goal that is priority is getting a job that pays at least $1400 a month so I can move out of my moms house. My spiritual well-being is another very important thing in my life, which it will be able to flourish once I'm in my own place, and I can live my own lifestyle without facing needless consequences.

Being mindful; that's a good point - so many of us go through life in a daze. The car drives itself to work, we clean the house without thinking.

Savour every moment.....yes.:)

My goals are pretty different from what actually matters to me, hehee.

I know that there are some who dislike the singer Jewel, so I hope they'll forgive me from quoting one of my favorite lines from a song of hers- "In the end, only kindness matters." Maybe that's why I'm very happy to be a walk-on player in other people's lives and not feel I have to "be the star" of the show.

I care most about friends and family, and outside of that I look to enjoy time by myself, reading, listening to music and watching the amber sun fall off the edge of the earth. "I like Pina Coladas, and getting caught in the rain. I'm not much into health food, I am into champagne. I've got to meet you by tomorrow noon, and cut through all this red tape. At a bar called O'Malley's, where we'll plan our escape". Sorry.

Well, love is very important, for as Shiva was said to have remarked, " I, the lord of all, am nothing but a lifeless corpse without Parvati. ( Shakti)

And money, you can' tescape the material world, and health, for what good is anything if your not healthy ?

Cheers

Happiness, of course! For yourself and everyone else! Of course, I have learned recently that I should specify, I do not mean that every person should strive to obtain happiness by whatver means possible..because some peoples' "happiness" is harmful to others. So...what matters most is happiness and striving to never do harm.

A peaceful life void of suffering and tragedy. Everything else is petty in the grand scheme of things to me.
