I listen to Heavy Metal, Acid Jazz and Neo Soul.

My Favourite artists are Jamiroquai, Erykah Badu, Metallica, Alice in Chains and Black Sabbath.

I've started getting into a bit of country in the past couple of years. A bit of Steve Earl, Willie Nelson, Townes Van Zandt, Jerry Reed.

At the moment, this is playing. The music is based on a traditional drinking song. Tan Weiwei, the singer, rewrote some of the lyrics in order to make the song about getting drunk one night and missing her father, who has passed away. In real life, that's exactly what happened, and Tan Weiwei found it extraordinarily hard to make it through an entire rehearsal of the song without breaking down. But she persisted and the song became China's number one hit in 2015.

What I don't listen to ... show tunes, and opera.

What I rarely listen to ... contemporary country or radio pop.

What I usually listen to ... singer-songwriter and world music and anything I think is exceptional.

My musical taste is quite varied from classical to blues to rock, with a bit of jazz, folk and avant garde thrown in. It seems that ii stopped gathering genre's the day i was born. There are few modern genre artist's i enjoy listening to.

Currently Andre Rieu is playing




I don't do country music though...

Classical, especially Renaissance polyphony and Baroque, though at this time of year Britten's "Ceremony of Carols" is a firm favourite.;)
