What of those who don't believe in our God?

In the end of time, how will those who don't believe in God be judged?

I was taught that God only judges upon what the person truly believes.

Help please!

It will be the Christians "Rewards Day"...the Christian will not face Judgment...Romans 8:1 - Therefore, there is now no condemnation (judgment) for those who are in Christ Jesus.
The Bible says that some day, Jesus will appear in the clouds, and those that are "in Christ," both the dead and the living...will rise to meet Him in the air (1 Thessalonians 4:13-18). All of the graves will be opened and each person will be judged based on the word of God contained in scripture. Jesus said in John 12:48:
"The one who rejects me and does not receive my words has a judge; the word that I have spoken will judge him on the last day." John 12:48

Sorry, but I'm afraid I still don't understand...would God send Muslims or Buddhists to hell simply because they didn't believe in him?

I know...sounds unfair doesn't it? However, "if" one believes the Bible...it appears to say that. It seems as if God is saying, "Do it my way or do it your way...and in the end...we'll see which way really counts". If I were in charge...sure...any good person...come on in but I'm not in charge. God says, "My ways are not your ways"....

So I guess God isn't as merciful as they say He is huh.. So what...He'll even send genuinely good people who don't believe in him to hell where they'll burn for all eternity?

As a Catholic, what do YOU believe?

theGuy...if you will look into the history of your Catholic teachings...I think you will find that it was your early church fathers who "came up" with the doctrine of Hell. No where is it earlier taught of a place described like in Dante's Inferno. I don't want to disrespect your beliefs; however, just think...if there was such a "horrible" place...how come there is not more "so-called" teaching on avoiding the place. Abraham never mentioned it, nor did Noah, or David, or many of the Lord's disciples. God says to fear Him who can and will destroy the soul. My personal belief is that at Judgment Day...those who's name is not in "the Book" will be thrown in the Lake of Fire (which I believe is not literally a Lake but actually God). "God is a consuming Fire". He will at that time destroy the soul forever...

Whoa...thanks Green Kepi. That made a lot more sense. Thank you so much! In my religion class it's always such a heated debate. So, you pretty much cleared it up for me.
