There's one thing that needs to happen immediately, and I'm surprised it didn't make the list.

The American response to the pandemic has been crippled by a "leader" who spouts inconsistent messaging, muzzles scientific experts, spreads inaccurate information, and just in general doesn't take it seriously. A course correction for that has to be at the center of the stage.

Bring border security and patrol into the 21st century and end that silly debate promoting stone age technology.
Address police brutality and corruption. Ideally banning internal investigations and qualified immunity to start with. Then move onto retraining, and establishing federal guidelines.

Unless by some miracle both Democrats win in George, McConnell will still be in charge in the Senate.

Biden should therefore start with executive orders undoing the last 4 years.

He needs to understand what the voters were saying and why they were saying it not just for POTUS but for other races where Democrats lost in spite of the polls.

But not to become a single-payer universal health care system. He just wants to expand it "a little bit" to help cover more poor people.

He doesn't want a real solution to our insane, for-profit, health care system. He wants another band-aide.

I'm all for single payer, but honestly the votes just aren't there in congress right now, and expansion of medicare could get a few Republican senators support, and eventually when the opportunity arises make medicare free for everyone that doesn't prefer to pay for private health insurance, Medicare is good insurance, I get it, it would be cheaper than private health insurance, Americans would appreciate a cheaper, quality alternative to overpriced private health insurance, Obamacare has been a big failure for the middle class, they ended up paying more, sometimes much more.
Anyway, any healthcare plan is going to be written by the house majority, not the President, lets give them the benefit of the doubt and see what happens, Biden's claim to fame is to be able to create coalitions across party lines, and with the make up of the senate, that's the only thing that will work.

5. Find a way to get rid of Moscow Mitch. He has already announced that he'll keep playing the destructive game he employed against Obama. With him in the Senate, Biden wouldn't even get his most conservative measures through.

And Biden has to learn that with people like McConnell there is no compromising. Sometimes you have to treat people like they are treating you.
