What religion do you find most attractive (NOT what religion do you follow)?

I find Paganism interesting. I don't study about it much but I do think it is a fascinating. I also like reading about Buddhism and Hinduism.

I see. So although there are some things you find more attractive about Subramuniyaswami, you find what you follow overall more attractive.

Well, I find the philosophy of Swami Vivekananda far more attractive, but I don't really "follow" any one particular path just yet. I'm still figuring it out.

I agree I love to read him. In every way he is deep. I do not believe that you could find anyone in the 1800's more progressive then he was.

What about his Guru? :D (I haven't actually read anything by Ramakrishna, yet.)

I see. Well, I follow A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada. You are probably familiar with him to some extent.

Next question:

Why have you guys all settled for less attractive religions?
My choice would be Vaisnava... there is just summin' about those crazy folks. If only people knew what they were jumping up and down about.

As for settling for something less attractive, who said I did? After I met Vishnu, I realized that no single religion could contain my being, though they may flatter themselves by thinking they can. There was just something in those twinkling eyes that told me not to bother with the trifles of others.

No,they are all equally attractive.I follow the present religion partly because I am born into it and I am well versed with the terminologies they use.

IMHO,Sufism is fair enough for me.But I am not a great fan of Islam.:).

The thing is, I read the OP as asking what our favorite religion is other than our own. So, asking why we settled for a less attractive one is rather silly.

I like Catholicism for aesthetics and ease. There's a lot of pageantry, icons, and you can pray to whichever saints you wish. It's also really easy to get into the good afterlife: just pray.
On the other hand, Shinto is very beautiful (or, at least, so it appears; I've never actually gotten to visit a Shinto shrine.)

He did not write anything himself, being illiterate. He is best described as a charismatic mystic yogi with a simple disarming charm. One of his biographies is very popular, but I am not sure about its accuracy.

I find their belief on creation to be plausible, and really like their ideas on the afterlife. And the Eight I'd Really Rather You Didn'ts are great tenets to live by.
