You can sort of have a bias against a religion without actually hating the members of it... If someone doesn't really like Judaism, it doesn't mean they are a Hitler Jew-hater...

That sounds like saying someone has nothing against (insert minority group here) but they don't like their culture. If the seed of bias is planted it will most likely take root.

But you can not like someone's culture and still respect it. For instance, I wouldn't want to live in a culture where people are cannibals, but I'm okay with cultures having cannibalistic practices. It's not up to me to say what is right and what is wrong.
