A lot of parties going on here. I think I'd land in the same camp. Although, If I had a choice I'd like to know that my death was upon me and throw the party myself. Recently, a terminally ill fellow in Newfoundland did this. I heard him speak on the raido a few days before the party and it was so life affirming in a odd way.

I want to be buried under a peach tree, so the roots can grow through me... then all my friends can come and eat a peach and say, Lycan tastes good this year... :)

I'm going to be cremated and have my ashes spread at the entrance of CBGB's in New York, so I will forever be at the founding venue of the punk movement, laying for eternity among the memories of the Ramones, The Germs, and other original bands from the beginning of the movement and will forever be with the music.

I would want a basic and traditional Church funeral, preferablly a fairly frugal one.

What I would add to that would be a bequething of all my nonsense characteristics. My brother definately gets my Street Fighter, while my friends will have to split up my sophistry. I can't take either with me ;).

After it, I want my things that aren't sentimental to the family sold and the funeral payed for. I don't have much, so there probably wouldn't be much left over, but whatever is left would go to my Mother, for she's had an extremely hard life. If, however, she is dead at that time, then let it go to the poor.

I would like to be aware enough to take a walk out into the Chugach Mountain range, here in Alaska, with a blanket and a pillow, lay down and just go to sleep. What happens to my body after that I don't care, but I kind of hope no one finds it. That way they can use all of the life insurance money for scholarship fund for kids from a low income background.

If I can't make the hike, or it is omething sudden, I think I am with the other folks who would want to be cremated.

"Rover, wanderer, nomad, vagabond call me what you will
anywhere i roam, where i lay my head is home,

What kind of funeral would I like?

The kind that wouldn't cause my parents to use their backup savings from their piggy banks, plus all that they own to put me away whichever method is the cheapest.

As for people who would be invited? I'd be dead, so the choice wouldn't be mine. It would be the choice of whomever is arranging the services. Unless I put it in a Will to have certain people invited. But then I'd never know if they actually cared enough to hear people talk about when I was alive.

This whole subject is morbid.
