Be honest. The poll is anonymous.

Me?
Hulk Hogan, Kid Rock etc supporting Trump and Oprah, Swift, ect supporting Harris doesn't mean a darn thing to me. IMO, who gives a rats ***!

No, the dems think it does though.

I hope my decision is based on facts, so with one exception, no. The exception is newspapers (the news media in general) that may tell me things that influence me.

I like it when the opposite side uses celebrities, it matches the mentality like good ole' Cardi B!

Just look at her! The perfect Democrat!

I think maybe she read it off her phone here as well!

Yeah, Someone said JLo spent 30 minutes warning us about Trump and zero time warning us about Diddy. Truth.

So do you agree that threads like...
-NYT endorses Harris
-WaPO endorses neither
-Swift Endorses Harris
-Kid Rock Endorses Trump
-Musk endorses Trump
Etc etc

Are nothingburgers?

You asked if various things influenced me "celebrity, singer, news paper, sports player, etc".

I responded that newspapers might do so based on informing me, but not the others. Now you are asking about threads.

Different question. I'd say it depends on the content, regardless of the title.

My initial question was about supporting, not reporting.

A bit of an odd combination of things in the poll - one of those things is not like the other. One is actually responsible for reporting on information accurately so we can know things about what's going on. Which we all, inevitably, use and are influenced by since it's more or less how we get information about what's going on. Exception granted for those very directly involved in politics to the point they have firsthand knowledge. For everybody else, it's news outlets that we get the information from.

Well I guess I'm just not really interested in voting. You guys who do it, that's great. I hope your pick wins. I just don't see how it will change my situation all that much either way. I think young people and seniors are mostly the ones that vote. The young people do it because they have a long work life ahead of them, and so small changes might have a larger effect, and the seniors do it because they usually have time for a lot of analysis. I am a middle-aged person without offspring, and it's just that I don't see what issue on the table is all that relevant to me

I will sometimes comment, sometimes strongly, on different political beliefs or thoughts I've had, but these are just observations from afar, in a sense. Whatever happens, happens, and my critique of it is just chatter

Yes - but only because smart, intelligent, well written newspaper op eds can influence my vote (but not singers, celebrities, athletes, etc.).

Nope.
The most influence on my vote is a thing we've got here in Germany called "Wahl-O-Mat". It's a page, set up by a government organization (bureau for political education). It starts with a questionnaire about my stances on political questions and displays the percentages my views align with those of the parties (who also answered the questionnaire). From there I can go deeper, to the short statement of the parties, the party's manifesto and declarations on how to implement the policy (if it isn't in the manifesto).
The only thing I miss is a report on previous performance on the matter, that's what I have to get from my memory or news searches.

In other words, I vote on matters, not party loyalty, sympathy for a candidate or endorsement by others.
Does something like the Wahl-O-Mat exist in the US? Is it used?

Here are a couple of links I found - make of them what you will. The second being a bit deeper than the first. o_O

Well, altruism wasn't the deciding motive in this election.
