What thoughts come to mind when you see this symbol?

roger1440

I do stuff
I ask mainly those who do not know the meaning of this symbol.

What enters the mind/imagination when you look at it?

I teach teenagers in a Christian school... and I know that my ring which bares this symbol is seen by most of the children I teach.

I wonder what they think?

Some ask... some assume, most keep silence.

Even if you know what this symbol represents - i still ask you the same question, but please state what you know of it before expressing your thoughts.

Thank you in advance for your comments

I naturally associate the Unicursal Hexagram with Thelema, with the five petaled flower being inherited from Rosicrucian symbolism. As a young teenager, Crowley's philosophy and literature played a significant role for me.
As for the children you teach, well there's all kinds of possibilities. Maybe some confuse it with a Jewish hexagram, or a neutral star jewel.

I can see the Masonic building tools but have no idea what a clover is doing in the middle.

The clover in the middle represents the 5 pointed star that is MAN

The unicursal hexagram (well done) represents the unification of the microcosm and the macrocosm (as above, so below) - THE UNIVERSE or GOD

so the 2 together represent the unification of MAN with GOD

Thanks for your input
Very interesting responses

Symbols can always be interpreted in a variety of ways... here's my view on it.

The 6 pointed figure is built of two trinal structures connected via two overarching lines. One trinal structure points upwards, the other downwards. The trinal structure pointing upwards represents light, the downwards one represents darkness. The two overarching connecting lines unify the polarities. Thus the figure is similar to a yin yang in its meaning... philosophical balance of light and darkness unified through God.

The shamrock is a 5 sided structure inverted... a reference to the inverted pentagram. This together with it being a shamrock, it represents the luck and prosperity which comes from associating with the shadow side of reality.

So altogether the figure is a rationalization of polarity between light and darkness, along with a willing, half removed indulgence in the fruits of darkness.

Star of David got sucked into a black hole, and after being mutilated it subsequently got penetrated by a cosmic flower?

Thats really all I can make of this.
