What tv programs are popular in your country?

In our house: Say Yes to the Dress. My wife's kinda addicted. :) Also: any show that involves building tiny houses.

Other shows that seem popular (in my group of friends, anyhow):

- Game of Thrones
- Walking Dead
- Bates Motel
- Mythbusters (though I was kinda disappointed by the series finale)
- The Rick Mercer Report

The last one is a Canadian comedy news magazine-type show. The closest you have on American TV is the Daily Show, but that doesn't really capture it.
Bates Motel...do you like it? It looks curious. :)

Yep, I watched the first few shows and decided it was made for teens. Perhaps now I will take a second look.

Oh you definitely should. At one point every episode just trumped the previous one, I'm up to 9 now and it blew me away it was dark and fantastic.
I think it's around episode 6-7 that it starts to turn. But I suppose it depends on your taste, Personally I enjoyed it right off the bat but I seem to be a minority. Most people hated the beginning, but are loving where it is now.

The show, and apparently the books, are very heavy into the message of disillusionment. That's why I think the first episodes are the way they are, Because they need the contrast for later on.
