What was your favorite class in high school?

What changed your interests and made you decide to go for a different degree, if you don't mind my asking?

I don't mind of course. My interests haven't changed, rather the reality of my situation did. I did actually go into engineering, but not in the way that i had intended.

My academic performance took a plummet basically, right at high school, so i didn't get the grades i wanted and had to go to another university than the one i had in mind. A much worse university, and so neither my performance nor the education i was receiving was on the same level i originally wanted, so i switched universities.

I basically changed my plans because i didn't perform as well as i should have (and could have), rather than because of a change of interest.

Math, physics and science.

Sadly, there were no computers when I was in high school.

My least favorite class was physical eduction because I had to spend an hour with the Neanderthals...

My favorite classes were the ones in which I ended up sitting next to the cutest girls. And the ones that didn't impinge upon my time with homework.

Phys ed did offer one thing...wrestling.
Then the bullies became the victims.

The Psych was thankfully AP so it actually had interesting stuff. The Philosophy class was only offered as an Intro so...we watched the Matrix and talked about Jehovah.

We ate jelly beans in my psych class and colored in pictures of the eye. That was my senior year.

Library. I disliked most of my classes -- except for some science and literature courses -- but the school librarian allowed me to spend study breaks in the library. So I read just about everything I could get my hands on except for those insipid girl's books about horses.

I think I liked everything except Physical Education, French, and Latin. For a favourite it was a tie between History and Chemistry, although I was best at Maths.

We had a pretty cool class called "Critical Thinking" and one of the activities was a class-wide chess tournament.

That was in middle school though, not high school.

I was gym TA my senior year. I loved putting those sophomores through their paces. Have you ever seen a 15-year-old girl try to climb a peg board? Oh how they hated me. Pure bliss!

Biology... unsurprising given I am pursuing a PhD in it.

I had pretty great teachers for it throughout all of school, which I'm sure helped a lot.

I hated high school. My crafts and pottery classes were the only ones I liked, which also makes them my favorites. I took a theatre class, but the teacher was utterly incompetent. Everything else I either hated or disliked.
