What web browser do you use, and why?

I use Firefox, mainly because of the peer pressure to use Firefox.

At home I use Firefox except for sites that don't work right with it. Then I use Explorer.

At work I use Explorer.

Firefox, the 2.0 alpha codenamed "Deer Park"

Though I've been known to use Konquerer as well.

Edit: Oh, you also wanted to know why.

Well, Firefox because it is basically just an excellent browser. I use 2.0 alpha because I like to be on the bleeding edge.

And Konquerer because sometimes it's just easy to throw a URL into my file browser than bring up Firefox.

I like IE version 7. Firefox is good when you consider all the add-ons you can install....but it's a memory hog.

I really like Maxthon better than Firefox, in theory, but it slows down my computer too much. Maybe if I had better hardware. (But then, my better half has much better hardware than I do, and he still prefers Firefox.)

Firefox and these are the reasons. I do use other browsers when I'm webdesigning so I can make sure my sites work for most people.

At work, I'm stuck with IE:help: . Apple Safari at home because I prefer my ancient iMac to any of the Windows computers in my universe. Firefox on the laptop, at first to avoid MS targeted viruses, but I've found it loads pages faster with fewer goof-ups than IE...that and being a Mac guy, I have this instrinsic urge to avoid Microsoft whenever possible. :run:

A friend told me that I would cut any spyware/addware problems significantly by switching to firefox, so I did. I really don't understand any of this computer stuff

i can crash most things, computer or not... on the basis that Firefox is still working for me, it must be good
