In truth I enjoy cats vicariously. My house is instead full of plants (because of course it is).Don't forget dogs. They've evolved with us over the last 15kya
I understand that (I have both cats and dog). If I didn't have cats, I might have plants indoors. But sadly, they would eat them and probably get sick too (looking at you Lilies).
I tend all of my plants outdoors.
But even that has to be in a special area, lest the chickens eat those.
