What would you die for?

Mmm... I don't think killing is ever the solution. Even if Saddam had launched a weapon, I would try to stop the bullet if it was aimed for a kill and not to disable (and, of course, if live capture was possible; there was no chance of escape).

What would I die for? If I found myself in a situation where my death could save the life of another, most certainly, I would sacrifice myself.

I meant that I was not prepared to sacrifice my own life for a situation that another had put himself in. Similarly, I would not sacrifice my life (although I might put it at considerable risk) to save the life of somebody who had chosen to commit suicide.

So, when you finally do it, will you let us know? :biglaugh:
Ok . :D

But it something that is hard to say that one would do , untill one does it . I mean , the survival instinct is strong , and there are many things that one would like to think that they would do . But what if for whatever reason , one has the chance , but doesn't follow through ? For excample , a child drowns because one freezes . Does one feel as if they are a failure because their survival instincts got the best of them ? Many do . And they live with what they preceive as a failure .

I know myself well enough to know that under the right conditions , I could doe for a stranger , without giving it a thought . I also know myself well enough that if I thought , I may not have the time to give my life for a loved one . It is just the way things are .
