What would your occupation be if you had followed your childhood dreams

Twilight Hue

Twilight, not bright nor dark, good nor bad.
I don't really recall what I wanted to be but i think it was a fireman.

How about you?
I never wavered I wanted to drive the big rigs and I did. Mission accomplished.

Now it's on to my second one. To be a storyteller through books and fine art, animator or diorama/ set stage designer where my stories can be told. Those are my goals for retirement or sooner.

I wanted to do this in preschool, but was over it by kindergarten.
I saw the movie convoy.

I never listened to the people who said I can do better.

No. The movie didn't reflect the real life reality. *Sigh*

However in today's landscape, I'd try to talk people out of it myself. Not because of the job, but because of the hostile climate brought about by the regulatory fanatics and profiteering corporates that destroyed a great and wonderful profession for the common hard working person. It was much better in days gone by.

Iconic song and good movie

You should/may like this song too

I love them all.

My favorite was east down and bound.

I was fired for violation of company speed policy no more than (5 mph over posted) and happily gave the middle finger as I kept ignoring it right up to the day of my termination. Only to the VP. My boss and general manager were great people, even though they were forced to fire me.

*grin*

And nope, never got a speeding ticket or accident. The cops were far more tolerant than my company was.

Sgt. Pepper

All you need is love.
Nice choices.
I wanted astronomy badly as well. My math aptitude was abysmal, which discouraged me from learning the sciences.

Math isn't my strong suit either, and it never has been. I planned to join the Air Force after I graduated from high school to help me pay for college, but I missed passing the Air Force ASVAB by five points in math. I never retook the test (despite the recruiter urging me to do so) because I became involved in other things, and then I met my husband not long after that. I got married when I was 19, my husband and I started a family, and the rest is history, as they say.

I also wanted to be a fireman. At the time, I was 6. :)

And a power ranger.

Same here.

I never wavered I wanted to drive the big rigs and I did. Mission accomplished.

That's amazing! Mission accomplished indeed!

I hope that works out for you. :)

How about you?

Other than firefighter and Power Ranger: stage magician, ninja, bounty hunter, and musician.

As an adult, I am a substitute teacher who is trying to get into teaching English full-time in Asia.

I never really thought about it. I just wanted to survive childhood and get out of the house, so I left upstate NY and headed for Southern California to go to college as soon as I graduated from high school.

First I majored in anthropology, then Spanish, and then geography. About 20 years later I went back to school for a psychology degree but I never used that degree and I remained a cartographer all my life.
