What I consider the best song will be different from day to day depending on my mood, which is cool because it means I can post more than one. :D

For now I will share this little gem, I love the way the girls voices interact with Stipe.

A favorite of mine, as well... fantastic song from a fantastic album!

Got to say, though, my favorite song by the Girls remains Blood & Fire.

I love that one too. Scooter Boys is another fav. 12:00 curfew is my fav album because I love the covers. Their Romeo and Juliet cover is far better than Dire Straights IMHO. Plus Bury My Heart at Wounded Knee is beyond awesome. You just can't go wrong with the Indigo Girls. Oh, not to make you jealous or anything but I got to see them on the Pier in Seattle with Michelle Malone. Spectacular concert!

Its near impossible to narrow it down to one but with lyrics like "i stand up next to a mountain and knock it down with the edge of my hand" i think Jimmi Hendrix Voodoo Chile is up with the best of them,so move over Rover and let Jimmi take over :p

Violet.
The fine art of Songwriting.

Here's one I love.

Performed by many vocalists.
Sting's version is nice, smooth
(though it's often done much faster)
and the youtube has lyrics.

STING - Windmills of Your Mind - YouTube
