What's the Big Deal with Israel?

so Palestinians had the right to have guns and fight for their land
Well, then don't whine when the death toll for them and others goes up.

Hamas is playing it's own populace as pawns to be sacrificed, and then people like you play along with that self-imposed suicide. Is that really moral in any way for you to be so willing to sacrifice Palestinians when you know darn well that all you are doing is encouraging the leading of them like sheep to a slaughter if they shoot missiles and rockets and stabbings against civilians in Israel?

You can't have it both ways. If you want peace, you have to work for it and not be so willing to throw away Palestinian and Israeli lives. I want peace, as do the vast majority of Israelis and Jews, but Hamas and people like you just want more bloodshed of innocent people. But I'm willing to bet that, even though you are so willing to sacrifice Palestinians, you haven't the courage to put your own life on the line.

What is boggling is that they could have had their homeland in 1948... but to the brain-trust of the day that was completely unacceptable.

Yes, and it was especially the Muslim leaders who pushed this with the Grand Mufti of Jerusalem taking the lead. Generally speaking, they firmly believe in the teaching from the Hadith that once land is "Islamic", it must remain as such. This is the one reason especially why Hamas will never accept a Jewish or Christian-run state in an area that they once controlled. This is why Arafat declared the West Bank as being an official Islamic entity even though there were many Christians living there.

Christians have been leaving the region in droves, and contrary to the belief of some, most people of Middle Eastern ancestry that live in Dearborn are not Muslims but Christians (about 2/3). I live not very far from Dearborn, and in my area we have a large Chaldean (Iraqi Christians) population.

As one Egyptian historian once said of Arafat [paraphrased]: Arafat never lost an opportunity to lose an opportunity.

Yes, I forget where I heard about it, in someone's memoirs, but Jimmy Carter practically had to put Arafat in a choke hold (I am kidding) at one point during the Camp David talks to get him to be reasonable. And if you can't get along with Jimmy Carter.... who can you get along with? LOL.

Yep, and even the Saudis were shocked when he walked away from the table.

But my theory is not that Arafat was ignorant-- quite the reverse-- he was smart enough to know that if he agreed to the division that the Islamists would do him in, and I have no doubt that they would try. Why take that chance when he had his millions in Swiss bank accounts with the money that he swindled from his own people?

That's what you get for just reading article titles. Netanyahu never said the word "Palestinian". He just says "Mufti of Jerusalem." Here's the clip.

Yes he was Palestinian, read the title in your video source.

See what your Jewish library says about him, he was born in Palestine.

Appointed Mufti of Jerusalem by the British in 1921, Haj Amin al-Husseini was the most prominent Arab figure in Palestine during the Mandatory period. Al-Husseini was born in Jerusalem in 1893, and went on to serve in the Ottoman Army during World War I. Anti-British and anti-Jewish, the mufti was the key nationalist figure among Muslims in Palestine. Fearful that increased Jewish immigration to Palestine would damage Arab standing in the area, the mufti engineered the bloody riots against Jewish settlement in 1929 and 1936.

Yes, the title does say that. But you understand, that that's not what you said. You said Netanyahu said it. I've just proven that it wasn't him, but a news agencies that said it

Yes, every article you will fine that mentions the name of Israel pre-1947 will call it Palestine, or the British Mandate of Palestine. That doesn't mean that the people were Palestinian as no such nation existed. We don't call the Arabs living there at the time Palestinians just as we don't call the Jews living there at the time Palestinians.

The land was called Palestine and the people living in it were called Japanese.

I think what you mean to say is, "You are right Tumah, my remark about Netanyahu was mistaken. And the land was called Palestine, and the people living in it were called the Jews of Palestine, the Arabs/Muslims of Palestine, the Bedouins of Palestine, the Druze of Palestine, the Christians of Palestine, or the Ottomans, and probably less frequently Syrians (as Palestine was considered to be part of South Syria along with Jordan).

Am I right?

I am talking about West Bank and inside Israel .
the peace could not establish under occupation and abuse and racist , don't you get it ?

since Israel occupating Palestinians lands , there will be no peace .

many civilians in Israel are armed and killed Palestinians civilian not armed , i wished that Palestinians was armed too , to defend for them selfs , i am against voilence (both sides) , when i see Israel destruct homes of Arabs whom stab Jews , NOT destruct the homes of Jews whom killed/stab Arabs , i understand that Israel is racist country and not justice .

I am against Hamas rockets because it's not effective and random, and give Israel the change to slay innocents in Gaza .

I had no problem to put my life on line for defending innocents (whatever their religion) to push away the abuse or abusers .

Stabbing a 70 year old Arab male in the Jewish shuk, is a terrible example of fighting for land.

... and sending your 14 and 16 year old girls armed with scissors to do it, doesn't make it any better either.
thanks for post this exemple

how Israeli (Jews) deal with stabber , did Israel destruct the home of stabber ?

Israel always destruct the home of Arabs when they stabb Jews , did Israel did the same with Jews whom stabbed Arabs ?

Israel always condemns Jews who kill Arabs (as Netanyahu did in this instance). But the PA and Gaza encourage Arabs to kill Jews instead of denouncing it. If the PA and Gaza encourage these types of actions, then Israel has to go that much further to protect to discourage it.

Regardless, those were Bedouins not "Palestinians". And instead of treating him like a hero as is done in the PA and Gaza he was arrested.

i am not talking who is fault , or condemns ...

my question is simple :
Israel destruct the homes of Arabs stabbers , right ?
why Israel did not destruct the homes of Jews whom stabbed/killed Arabs too , where is Justice ? is not this sign of racist country ?

That seems to me a pretty good reason for the aide. Of course, we could let the other dots remove Israel and then write books, films, and plays about how sad the holocaust was when that happened. That's the usual way for humans to deal with these sorts of things. But I rather prefer prevention to lamentation.

There you go with your holocaust propaganda.

no you don't explain why Israel destruct the homes of Arabs , JUST the Arabs , but not Jews stabbers .

so i find it racist and not justice regime .

If America stopped funding Israel's defence, what would be the outcome?
If all UN resolutions were enforced in the region, what would be the outcome?
If Israel no longer existed, would there be peace in the region.?
Would Israel use its nuclear capability?
Then what?
Would there be a second Jewish Diaspora?
or should that be the third?
Where would they go?

Yes I actually explained exactly that. Read past the first sentence or ask one of our resident Arab speakers to translate for you.
