What's Up?

What's Up?... The sky clouds, even the ceiling.

I'm in need of a replacement shopping trolley (cheap car). The insurance company has deemed this one a wreck ;-). Still drivable and legal but we are not allowed to sell it on, it can only be scrapped. Unless we have it repaired at a cost of 4 times the value of the wreck. Not going to happen.

Next month I'm going to England for a few days. Much to do, meetings with brother in laws health team, friends and relatives to catch up with etc.

Just finished decorating the lounge/dining area/kitchen. Never tried anything like it until we moved to France. It's very satisfying.

The other day we had our 1999 Honda in for an oil change and they found issues, over $1800 worth of issues. In other words, it's close to totalled but we could repair and hope that there's not another $2k issue in 6 months.

After 2 days of research including a refresher on how to negotiate, looking up various ranges for a Honda Fit from JDPower (13913), Carfax (14370) and Kelly Blue book (13215) compared to the asking price (14988), we're ready to see if will work with my 5' wife and if it works and we like it, it's haggle time. I also know about other Fits in the vicinity and there's a similar Toyota Yaris used cars around as well.

I am moving from Texas to Ohio to be nearer to my adult kids. My son though has lived in Korea for nearly a year.
How many kids do you have? Why did your son move to Korea?
I had a provolone and gouda sandwich with dijon mustard and mayo on rye for lunch.

I think now I'll read for a bit.

Want me to send Sam over? He specializes in Hondas of that time frame and can fix it for next to nothing.

Edit: He actually was enthusiastic when I jokingly mentioning it, and says bring it over, he already has tools and parts.

Its true. There are Honda parts everywhere. Everywhere.

Funny story behind that song:

One night while the band was playing out, during one of our breaks, that song played on the jukebox, and as a goof, the lead guitarist, the drummer, and I got in front of the mics and sang the bridge (the part that says, "And I try...oh my god, do I try") and it had everyone in the bar rolling.

It kind a became a thing that every time we played out, one of our fans would make sure that song played during one of our breaks.

I have a mate who played in a cover band and they used to play it because it got the ladies up on the dance floor.
