what's wrong with video games?

Twilight Hue

Twilight, not bright nor dark, good nor bad.
What are the WORST video games you've ever played?
All the broken and unfinished ones. "0)

I think the worse ones for me aside from technical issues and content is duplication and redudancy.

I think the worse right now are the recent versions of Call of Duty, Mafia 3, and Star Wars Battlefront. Aside from looking great with exception to Mafia 3 graphics, they are nothing like the orginals with massive features pulled out and a bare bones experience in medicoricy ensues that does nothing for the titles.

Republic: The Revolution. The concept was good and if it had been done now, they could have pushed it much more to like a GTA style game with much more open play. It was probably very ambitious but they didn't get it right. its just unplayable and the linear story line means its not even worth playing through a full time even once. Its too frustrating. The soundtrack had its highlights though.

I love the bioware RPGs. However, I just couldn't finish that latest dragon age game. I need tactical control of my heroes, but interface was way to clunky. Also the forced AI would make my heroes do things I didn't want in the heat of the battle. It was the first bioware game I gave up on...

I can't even pick, I've returned more games than I've kept.

If you can read this, you are as lucky as I am.
I dunno. . .

A Video game is kind of like sex. Even when it's bad, it's still pretty good.

It works better if you imagine your party are unruly kids, rather than robots. Your 'commands' are really just 'suggestions'.

'Attack that dragon with your sword! Your sword, for goodness sake. That's NOT your sword...that's a cocktail fork...oh for the love of God...'

My tactics were to fight from a distance with mages and rogues with bows. What do they do instead when I let AI take over? They run up to the target because it's hiding behind a rock. Then the enemy unloads on them. The UI just doesn't make it easy to micro manage so I just grew tired of trying.

Your mages are part of a traditional warrior society where they need to count coup on enemies before obliterating them?

Korean grind games as a genre I am making up. Most MMORP(ish) these days. Hellgate London has to be the one that went to the bin in record time.

I've reached the point where I feel they're a waste of time...so I've started collecting Warhammer models instead.

What grind?

Korean games are known for their grinding aspect. It is a method of retaining customers.

Bots. That's how my cousin played.

Nah I mean Hellgate London such a poor game that I dropped it within the same day I started playing. I had friends to play with as well.

I am talking about it's first release not the rebranding and release.
