I picked Asgard, but that's not entirely accurate. It would make a lot more sense for somebody like me to just take my place in Hel's home. Maybe I'll pull something amazing off and find my place among the gods, but I'll be perfectly satisfied alongside my ancestors :).

I voted nonexistence, but I'd say that my afterlife is the very next moment. Will I make that next moment heaven or hell? That's up to me.

I had to vote other as I'm clearly Christian but neither of your options for us is appropriate for me. I certainly don't believe in heaven only (I may hope for it, though) as apokatastasis denies free will and hence is a condemned heresy. Nor do we believe in hell as separation from God. God is the Sustainer of the universe sio there can be nowhere He is not present and were you to be put out of His presence you would, necessarily, cease to exist. For us, both heaven and hell are experiences of the same, inescapable love of God, which is torment for those that hatre Him and bliss for those that love Him, but they most certainly aren't places and nor do we have either experience immmediately after death, but merely a foretaste of where we would be destined. As such we don't believe that it is impossible to move towards God after death, hence the reason for prayers for the dead.

I used to have a rather elaborate afterlife story, but I've finally decided to just wait and see what happens rather than take guesses. :)
Most afterlives sound pretty interesting, anyway.

The "after life" is the life after your service.
It is found in the accountabilty of your actions while you exist and how you approved upon to humanity to see a better life for mankind.
Martin Luther king is smiled upon in the after life. We hold onto the world of him with a smile and still speak his name. He can claim a great after life!
In his name and so many others the value of them can only be a testament to what life can be if we consider the world of which we live and the great resources within us to maintain a good world.

Wow, such an old thread and so many memories. A few members I haven't talked to in awhile. And at least one member that does know the answer to the question.
But as for this thread, I don't even believe in the Summer Lands anymore. I would change my vote to unknown if I could.

i chose other

the Olam Haba, the World to Come...what that will be like exactly...i'll know when i get there.

some think it's studying Torah w/ Hashem for all eternity.
If one has left this world why would one need to study the torah anymore which was a product of this past life? Does god live in the past? Anyways I voted unknown, my intuition tells me that much like drops of water from the ocean which a have brief period of separation, we all return or merge back into the the great sea of god.

You would need to do some time travelling to get your answer.

Twilight Hue

Twilight, not bright nor dark, good nor bad.
This is the afterlife. Ta! Da!

Sadly I never attended orientation and am presently paddling a boat in the middle of nowhere.

Considering that the only difference between a living organism and a dead living organism is that the brain stopped working due to the heart stop pumping due to various amounts of reasons, and also considering the fact that your body is nonetheless just a lifeless object when it's dead, your body right now is a lifeless object, just some chemical reactions and movement of neurons being controlled by the pumping of the heart is the only difference.
