You obviously have not seen the programme because chlorination was only one issue with US chicken.
Workers rights, accident records and H&S; hygiene in the factories - the regulations are way below UK standards
Well you heard wrong. EU/UK H&S regulations and workers' rights are far higher than the US.I heard that they are higher and that any products would be marked accordingly.

I'll believe they will be marked when I see packaging telling me which method was used to the kill animals
They currently have no excuse, the EU is not stopping us.Once we leave the EU, our Parliamentarians will have no excuse for not marking food products properly.

You really are showing all the signs of realising you have been lied to by your BubbleThat would have been a good rule for them to impose upon us if they had ever thought of it.
"....let’s take Salmonella as an example. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention estimates “Salmonella causes about 1.2 million illnesses, 23,000 hospitalizations, and 450 deaths in the United States every year. Food is the source for about 1 million of these illnesses”. And for the EU?
In 2016, the number of hospitalisations was 1,766, and there were 10 deaths. None of those deaths was in the UK. The population of the USA is 327 million; that of the EU (including the UK) is more than 512 million."
Do the math, as they say.
But you can't deny the facts about US food safety, just change the subject.Jon talks about your Channel 4 programme in this podcast.

So you could complain about it being forced on us?

No, and I won't . But if it hits our market and is (say) 20% cheaper; then the less well off buy it. That leaves our farmers who are meeting higher standards with a smaller market. You don't have to buy chlorinated chicken.
