Whats your image of satan?

The image I have of Satan the Devil is the same as the Bible teaches him to be - a wicked spirit creature. He was an obedient angel but craved worship for himself so he became a satan or adversary. (John 8:44; James 1:14,15)
It's interesting that the angels all have free will just like we humans. We have a choice of who we want to worship. Satan made the wrong choice...:tsk:

It's also interesting that every jew I have met believe that angels don't have free will. So Lucifer made no choice whatsoever.

My interpretation of Satan is quite different. Not in any way, do I see him as a scared little boy spirit...

Satan was a selfish, arrogant angel...

And I don't fear Satan at all. In fact, when you confess Christ...Satan fears YOU. When you have the indwelling of the Holy Spirit...Satan has no power over you...at all. He can place obstacles before you but when you call upon the Lord...you'll remember that those obstacles...pain...worry...were already bought and paid for by precious blood.
I agree TOTALLY AND COMPLETELY. He was no scared little boy. He desired power, he elevated himself higher than God. He didn't do what he did out of fear.
And the part after that about Satan fearing you is true as well.

I have no god and no satan to believe in. However, if I did believe I think he would look like the devil off TenaciousD's video for tribute :p Peace x

crazily enough.. that makes sense... wow

Would you tell me where in the bible it says that angels have no free will? I think it's in there, but I still think that Lucifer made the choice on his own. I seriously would like to know.

Before Satan was cast from Heaven he was called Lucifer, which translates to the "son of the morning". Lucifer was ranked and well respected in the premortal life. How else would he have been able to lead 1/3 of the hosts of Heaven away from the light. Look at all of the bad things happening in the world today, wars, murders, rapes, ect. A little red guy w/ horns and a pitch fork I don't think could be a driving force behind all of this wickedness. Satan has to have charm and decent looks to be able to pull this stuff off. You know those guys that look good and have a whole bunch of friends, but are always angry and hurting people that aren't in the circle of friends. Thats who I see Satan as being.

P.S.
I think Bill Clinton would be a better anti-christ or maybe the head guy at the UN

You can't name the head of the UN, but still have enough information on him to finger him as the anti-christ?

A friend of mine thinks that Ariel Sharon will recover from his stroke miraculously and completely and become the anti-christ. Besides, people don't like Bill Clinton enough anymore for him to become the anti-christ. If it will be a Clinton, it will most certainly be Hillary.

Sorry, I didn't know how to spell Kofi Annan, and I didn't have enough time to look it up

I've always heard of Satan being one of the most beutiful angels in heaven, so I can understand people easily being deceived by him. But he doesn't scare me because I agree that his only powers are trickery and messing with our heads, so I just don't let satan get to me.

I agree with the description of Satan...I disagree to a degree on what he is able to do...he not only uses trickery and deception he uses emotions and I believe he has very strong powers that are not to be fooled around with. That's why the part of the Lords Prayer says lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil...we are to pray to be not led astray by Satan and his antics here on earth. God is the only one that has more power than satan does...if it were not so He would not have been able to cast Lucifer from Heaven with his 1/3 of the angels.

MPO is not to ever tempt ones soul with anything to do with satan.

That is want I meant in a way because I believe you are he does use emotions I believe one strong emotion he uses is our guilt. He makes us feel guilty for all the things we do or mess up on, and we let our guilt get to us. To me that in a way is playing with your head, but I do understand what you are saying.

I really don't understand what's up with everyone thinking Peace-makers or at least those with more interests in Peace are anti-christs, while those who make war and seem to talk with the sword are God's blessing. It seems like people would call Ghandi the Anti-christ.

"Oh no people are trying to create global peace and understanding. But that means accepting others and not making everyone else believe what I believe. Therefore these peace makers are actually the anti-christ, because Jesus obviously prefers those who make war." :sarcastic
