What's your unusual talent?

Saint in training
I don't really know, I am good at a lot of things, but I can't do a lot of things either.

I'm really good at football, but maybe that's more of a skill? I'm pretty good at juggling the ball.

For something a bit more unusual, I can mirror write (I think that's what it's called) very well, meaning I can do it as fast as I can writing the regular way, and with excellent handwriting (almost better than my regular). I can also read words backwards just as fast.

That's strange; did you practice for ages, or did you sussenly become aware that you could ?:)

That's cool, I can mirror write too. I wrote on how I learned it at the ambidextrous thread.

I just can. It's probably because the roman alphabet wasn't the first script I'd learned. Or maybe's it's just the fact that I do know so many scripts. Maybe all the hours I've spent trying to get my mind to read from right to left for Arabic has had some unforseen effects.

Well, that doesn't help me. ;)

Hmmmm, well, don't think it's unusual, but I'm sort of good with horses. I can still remember the time I was stroking a tied-up horse. Then I find out that it's "very dangerous." Didn't seem so. :p The guy says it's a wild horse, and a while ago I'd put my arm round its neck with no side-effects. And I also rode a horse which people were telling me was "hard-to-handle." It acted like a lead-pony. :p

Frubals to you :D

I too have handled and ridden horses people thought were "difficult." I'm not a so-called horse whisperer, but a lifetime of being with them and learning from them has taught me to better communicate with them ~ which includes being able to "hear" what they're telling me through the subtle body language they use to communicate with each other. Pretty cool how they use and respond to those same signals to comunicate with people!

Another thing I've noticed - when people tell me their horse is spooky or difficult, I often find that it's the person who's spooky and difficult and they tend to communicate their fear and anxiety to their mount. The horse picks up on their muscle tension and nervousness and becaomes nervous as well.... after all, if the handler is nervous, there MUST be something to be nervous about

I'd unblushingly say that I'm one of the very best translators that you can find for technical/chemical/medical texts into Swedish. That's at least the opinion of quite a few seasoned experts in the translation business.

How I got that way (to quote Tom Lehrer)? Well, I chose my genes carefully. I just can't help it myself.

So, if you're utterly terrified, make sure your horse doesn't know. Just act relaxed or it's adios....

agh! yes, i have a friend who does impressions, too. he's very good but... one gets tired of that screeching Pepper Pot voice after a while!

me, i don't do anything too neat or weird. i can sing a little, and draw comic-book guys, but that's pretty much it.

My most unusual talent is my stoopid humor. I really can't stop the word associations that create my puns. :D
