When did potato chips begin?

Chips were invented probably in the Spanish Netherlands, in what is now Belgium, or in Spain, where the potato was first introduced to Europe, and from there became popular in the Low Countries.

The prevailing conjecture (it isn’t really a theory) is that time would have begun when space time first started to expand, at the Big Bang.

Mainstream Christianity accepts science, by the way, including evolution.
Thank you
I have included space-time and big bang in the list to choose from.
Yes I did write that I'm aware that not all theists reject evolution.

OP: There can not be a single answer to your question since Einstein proved that time is relative.

A lot of them do and a lot of non-main stream do as well doesn't really matter what stream you're swimming in
It matters a great deal to followers of mainstream Christianity that they are not lumped in with all the idiots and charlatans at the extremes.

Maybe some Incas accidentally dropped some chuño into hot oil and the idea blossomed from there ?

For theist who reject evolution, when do you believe time began? I know evolution doesn't deal with the origin of time and I know that the measurement of time started when we began to use sundials. Also I am aware that all theists don't reject evolution. Just for the sake of conversation I asked the question. Having said all that, if you feel uncomfortable with the word time use whatever you want. ie. The heavens, all things, universe, multi-verse, infinity, infinite space, void, Big Bang, everlasting, creation, great unknown, space time, singularity, unobservable universe or observable universe etc. lol

Potato chips was invented in 1853 :)

But is it true

They're not idiots. I'm not an idiot
Perhaps not, but plenty of creationists are. You seem to be chiefly ignorant of what evolution is and how it operates, and by your own admission, prejudiced against it for unscientific reasons.

Either way, it remains the case that mainstream Christians will not want to be associated with views like yours.

Potato chips began as a result of a bet. At the time, they had fried potatoes (both straight up french fries invented in 1802 and home fries of assorted types), but there was a recipe in 1817 for shaved potato slices. There's a much later legend in 1852 of some impossible to appease customer asking for thinner and thinner pieces until someone basically made chips or paper thin slices. Personally, I can't see the point of potato chips, they have no potato taste, and they crisp up to the point where it's like eating toenails. But then, I prefer poutine and chili cheese fries to crispy fries.

I'm a theist but I don't reject evolution. The idea of uncreated creation (and all of us are creations, for we have a mother and a father) is nonsensical. Evolution makes some sense, though I reject Darwin in favor of some of the other guys. Lamarck and Saint-Hilaire in particular interest me, as do theistic explanations for evolution. Natural selection is a sucky theory that opens a can of worms for people to say they have the right to control who is fittest.

Time as we know it, began at T = 0, at the start of the expanding universe, some 13.7 billion years ago.
