That is why I point out hate and bigotry in the Bible and Quran.

Many people use the Bible and Quran as cornerstones in their lives / beliefs. Perhaps by calling the texts hateful and bigoted, one might interpret that as you calling their heartfelt belief as hateful and bigoted, which could lead to them feeling personally attacked. Seems to be a case of miscommunication, perhaps?

Just FYI,

In Scientology they have a class/course were they sit you in a room with a person who's only job is to offend you. They will call you the vilest things possible and even go so far as to rip your shirt off. If you react in any way to this onslaught, you fail.

This was to teach you to be an auditor. Like the psychologist/confessor who sits and listens to you spill all of your mental hang-ups.

When I was a Christian I lived in fear and terror that people die every day and go somewhere to be tortured forever.

I'm trying to help people get out of such miserable mental bondage that Abrahamic texts can cause.

I understand that fear completely. When I was younger, I started studying more of the Bible, hoping that I could convince myself that I shouldn’t be a Christian. The idea of hell was the sole reason I didn’t want to be a Christian, all my friends were atheists pretty much and I despaired at the idea of hell for them.
My journey has led me to stay a Christian, but I understand completely. The teaching of Hell is absolutely devastating.
