Where are you on the political compass?

Yep, that sounds about right. Lower-left quadrant, and the economic score is lower than the social score.

Ironically, I am distinctly more passionate about social issues than economic ones, both here and IRL.

I used to be some thing like:

Economic Left/Right: -8.5 something
Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: -9 something

For a while, I counted myself socialist in my views, but I'm more libertarian now. (I don't actually use those labels to refer to myself, though. Eventually people start paying more attention to the labels than to you.)

Close enough to the Mahatma and the Dalai Lama.
Politically, on a Swedish scale, I'm at the rightmost part of the legal specrum.

Interesting. I see very few authoritarian people here, still there are where most of the worlds governments are... It seems like the power at be don't want to give people the level of freedom they want. So much for democracy.

I hate this particular political compass. I much favor the original one.

I'm a libertarian, and I seem to recall ending up somewhere in the lower right quadrant, between libertarian and neo-liberal.

I guess I'm a quasi-liberal barely-right winger.

I'm almost exactly where Gerhard Shroder is...I don't know if that's a good thing or bad thing, I've never heard of him, lol.

From what I've seen, it appears that most everyone so far has been in the bottom left corner of the charts, with only a handful elsewhere. I wonder if that is just a phenomenon on this forum or if it is more widespread throughout our cultures.
To be honest, some of the questions appeared to be a bit biased that direction - but maybe that's just me. I do think that RF tends to lean a bit to the left.
