Where do Gnostics stand in the Islamic Worldview?

The peace of God be always with you my friends,

I was wondering if Gnostics occupy any place in the Islamic worldview, similar to how Christians are called people of the book? Are we seen as people of the book, Christians, the pre-Islamic hanifs? Thank you in advance for your consideration :)

In the name of God. Salam dear brother. Before adressing the question, here are some gifts for you :)

As for your question, people of the book, as you can tell, are those who believe in revelations-scriptures. Though the Holy Quran only mentions some of them, i.e. Jews, Christians and Sabians (see, Quran, 2:62), there are more people who believe in some divinely chosen messengers and revelations, such as Zoroastrians, and etc. And they also are among the people of the book.

Hence, the people who believe in the divine deity (God), resurrection-hereafter, and prophethood and has love in their hearts for Prophet Muhammad (pbuh&hp) are Muslims.

And the people who believe in God, resurrection and (some of the) previous messengers are called, people of the book.

And Islamically all are considered to be brethren.

"People are of two kinds, either your brothers in faith or your brothers in humanity." Imam Ali (pbuh).

Thanks and I pray you have continuity and steadfastness in your spiritual journey and reach God-perfection :)

It would be great if you can define the word gnostic for me because from what I learned is that everyone view it differently.

So please what does the word gnostic exactly mean to you :D ?

As its a DIR I'll be to the point. I believe in one God, in and also above all. His all-embracingness is part of His uniqueness. I believe in divine knowledge that leads to knowing this God and liberation.

What is your position towards Islam?

Do you agree with what Quraan says about God?

Not entirely. There are things I do agree on.

Well at the moment I can't think of an appropriate description in the Quraan for what you are describing but if you read the Quraan I am sure you will find messages for you as I believe Quraan speaks to everyone.
