There are over 30 allegorical descriptions of heaven.. not unlike "My father's house has many mansions."

It boils down to heaven being in the presence of God.

Transparent companions are also perceived as angels... and described as chaste. The allegories about paradise in Islam are very colorful and lush. There are about 30 of them.

Reviewing the thread, I see that you posted two messages before mine to you posted, which suggests to me that you exchanged posts with someone that I must have on "ignore". Yes...and the commentaries don't picture them as 'allegories,' completely.

As for me, I'll go with you about '72.' However, the 'houries,' (who, evidently, can be male or female) seem to be a pretty standard bit of 'equipment' for paradise.

You know, like being blonde and blue-eyed is considered to be a sign of beauty if one is Nordic, or even, dark skin and large eyes are considered a sign of beauty in some African groups, or lots of facial hair is considered to be a sign of masculine prowess if one makes duck calls?

I think you misunderstand. Eye disease was always a problem so healthy eyes was a good quality.

What we find attractive is biological - we feel sexual attraction toward people who have such an appearance that tells of good genes. Big eyes is one of these. So are wide lips and a symmetrical face, good hip-waist ratio (for women) etc.
