Where do these Wicca symbols come from?

There are a pair of symbols here, one of health/healing (3 circles with a vertical line through them) and another for money (2 arches with a vertical line through them). Does anybody know where they come from and why do they mean what they mean? I found nothing on the web.

I'm sorry I'm posting here, but for some reason I don't have "privileges" to post in the Wicca DIR.

Also, can anybody please recommend me a free religion forum? 75 bucks is too much for me (I don't live in USA).

Can you post pictures of them so we can see?

I am not sure as to the second one, but remember that Wicca is a new religion based off of old forms of Paganism, mainly Celtic ones. Historically, circular symbols are almost always symbols for balance or the cyclical nature of reality. The circles likely represent balance within the body.

As for the DIR access, the mods suspended posting for everyone there because there aren't any Wiccans here and other Pagans were posting there.

Some symbols used by Wiccans are ancient symbols used by various Pagan groups, some are astrological or alchemical symbols, and some are just flat out made up within the last hundred years or sooner. My educated guess is that the two you mentioned fall into the last category.

And as far as the free forum thing goes, use ad blocker. :)

Most of the authentic ones are here: Celtic Symbols from ancient times

Anyway, I've never seen those health/strength symbols. :D
I've seen the strength one before as magical strength. When I was looking around I saw some symbols attached to moon glyphs, or to Greek symbology (hecate, goddess triads), some Egyptian, some syncretic, and a bunch of symbols that don't seem to connect to anything I could find. So it could be they're very new, or spinoffs disconnected to their historical context.

LOL! oh well, maybe I'll just have to use those symbols to find out if they are useful in a magical work. All ends up depending on the mind of the witch anyway. Thanks to all.

Advertising doesn't bother me very much, but I thought I couldn't post there because I'm not in a payed membership.

Naw nobody has to purchase the paid membership. Before I was a mod I was a free member for years. :)

Sometimes people buy gift memberships for other people. It has happened before, and it will happen again. You can't always tell who bought themselves a membership and who got one as a gift.

To be honest it looks like modern ritual magic had more of an influence.

That's a really eclectic collection of symbols including symbols representing different religions.
