Where Homophobia Comes From; a poem in memory of the great Oscar Wilde

Homophobia won't stop because the majority of bisexuals have decided to do things secretly. As if they had to hide something which is shameful and dishonorable.
That's why people think it deals with something dirty . Because most gays and bisexuals do not live their sexuality above-board.
why shouldn't they? They have nothing to be ashamed of. Sexuality is something natural in all its forms
That contributes to spread diffidence towards gay people, aka homophobia.

Much as I appreciate you bumping my thread, this is the Games / Pics / Jokes / Stories forum, and your post is probably going to turn this thread into a debate, which I'd rather it didn't.

I was going to tell you that I congratulate you so much for your poem. Bravo
you're really talented.

I deleted my post...however homosexuality and the Victorian Age is a so interesting topic, that we should start a new thread about it

Thanks Hay85. But yeah, it might be best if you delete it. I just don't want to get into a serious discussion about the topic here because it would be pretty certain to turn into a debate. :p

edit: thanks :)

I false-started three times on writing a brief congratulatory poem, Seuss style.
So instead, I asked my emoticons to take care of the congratulations.

:clap:clap:clap:clap:clap:bow:

Okay, so the guy on the far right is getting a little carried away. But that poem was frigging awesome.

Actually, the guy on the far right seems like the most sensible one.

(thanks man. :D)

Happy Birthday Oscar!!!!
:hapbirth::

OK, everybody needs to read the poem in the OP. This is the greatest poem ever written, anywhere, at any time, by anybody.

Not just my opinion: I asked Shakespeare what he thought of it and you know what? He didn't say anything.

He was struck speechless!

I asked Robert Frost, Elizabeth Barrett Browning, Longfellow, Keats, Yeats, Tennyson, Lord Byron, and Emily Dickinson and same thing: obviously, they couldn't find the words.

I didn't ask Oscar because I figured he might be biased.

Somewhere in my brain a joke is trying to form around the names of some of these poets.
I mean, honestly.

Longfellow?
Dickinson?
Wilde?
Frost?
Even Shakespeare?

There's defintely a joke there somewhere. And I think it might even be a bawdy one.

I never noticed the subliminal phallicism before. :p
