I'm kind of like Watcher - if God exists, he put the video in the VCR, turned the machine on, and is now either out in the kitchen making a snack, or in the bathroom, taking a whiz. If He exists, He certainly doesn't appear to be to interested in how the movie turns out.

There's a scripture in the Christian bible that points to the heart as the place where the Mosaic Law, which is now defunct by the death of the messiah, is supposed to be where these Laws are inscribed. Maybe that's the source, no?

I have played many roles in this lifetime, human, male, boy, Italian, Spanish, caucasion, Catholic, student, paperboy, teenager, artist, Republican, musician/entertainer, lover, ordained minister, friend, adult, cashier, toll collector, actor, author,husband, father.

I think that GOD used the movie illustration to help me understand what it is like for Him to BE an observer. So wherever He resides He wanted me to know that He is watching. Even though GOD doesn't have to pay the $8.00 admission price to see our movie I think I understand why He is not critical or judgmental with our "performances".

If I were a believer, I think I would believe that god and nature were the same. And, just as we are part of nature, so too we would be part of god. The implication of that view that I like the best is that we can learn of god by studying nature.

Interesting comment. I totally think we can learn about God by studying nature. I differ slightly though. I think God was before all and created this physical universe and our planet with everything in it. He isnt nature but it is His art. We can for sure learn about God if this is true. Like art and an artist.

As an follower of 'advaita' (non-duality), I do accept the existence of one sole entity (not a being, not a God) which constitutes all that we perceive in the universe or even what we are not able to perceive.

I think god is in everyone's mind, so there is about 7 billion gods in the world right now.
