Where would you choose to be born?

Inspired by the "Do you love your country" thread. If you could choose any country to have been born in which would you choose and why.

For me I'd choose Japan. I'm not a massive fan of their food but I'm sure I could survive. However I'm in love with the culture and can't wait to get a chance to experience it myself (I'm still a teenager so I'll need to wait a few years probably). Plus the country seems to have a fair amount of human rights.

Switzerland.
1.) It is in Europe
2.) It has a high standard of living
3.) It has very good social security system
4.) It does not have the Euro

I'd say Japan, but it's too crowded. Scandinavian countries, NZ, or Canada would be nice for a view, but I would probably settle with Ireland.

meh it's also very conservative and the military service would upset me.

I'f I could chose, I'd like to be born on a boat in the middle of the ocean.

that's cheating :p

I'm sure you could find a rural area to live in.

Switzerland looks nice. Maybe I'll make it my second choice :p

Switzerland is a good choice. Scandinavian countries.

But I feel very lucky to be born in easy-going Australia.

Some people have all the luck :p

Good ol' Aussies. I prefer them to my fellow brits (in general) though

Is not being born a choice?

Sorry but no

Into a very rich family.
US or Canuckistan will do.

Is rich the main criteria? :p

English was never my Forté. Maybe I'll be better at Japanese :p
I'd lose the accent over the "e" in "forte".
It's silent when referring to something you do well.
It's French in origin, unlike the "forte" with the voiced "e", which is of Italian origin.
Kids these days.....

Watch that verb!

English was never my Forté.

English grammar doesn't appear to be Revoltingest's either, because criterion/criteria isn't a verb. It's a noun.

But then, maybe he's just revolting against traditional grammar's labels.

I get to reincarnate?

Ok. Please take my order carefully.

I'd like to be born into a very rich (and liberal) family
on a beautiful estate probably somewhere in America
that is neither too conservative, religious or cold.
Beyond that, I'd love my new family to already have connections
in the music business,
and all the equipment
I could ever want or need to use.

Thank you.
