Which God do you believe in?

Dan4reason

Facts not Faith
My question to this forum is which God(s) do you believe in and why? I want to try to flesh out this debate over which God is true and provide a wider perspective to this debate. If you do not believe in any God, then you can say why you don't and if you do not believe in a God not on this list, you can say which one and why.

I have noticed that most debates are between atheists/agnostics versus Yhwh, atheists/agnotics vs Allah, Yhwh vs Allah, and debated among those who believe in Yhwh. The purpose of my list is to provide a greater prespective to this debate.

Personally, I do not believe in any of these Gods because they do not have a scrap of evidence to support their existence and will not believe in majic beings until there is good reason to believe in them.

I believe in "God," although it's noticably lacking from your list. :)

"God" is a vague name for Jesus or Yhwh. Since you mentioned that name for him, I will edit my OP again and put him on the list.

So why do you believe in this God? What are your thoughts about this topic?

I believe in the Almighty...the Creator.

I hope the nouns are self-explanatory.

I believe in Brahman, Paramatma, Bhagavan. That is, I believe in Vishnu.

Vishnu not only Creates everything in existence, he expands himself to become everything in existence.

I am not going to argue why Vishnu is reality as I have no desire to convince others.

Thank you for sharing your beliefs. I do wish that you will also wish to share why you believe in the Hindu deities. You are also welcome to critique my perspective.

It's the philosophy that rings true to me, and the God concept. Krishna also represents the thing that I feel binds everything together- Love. So by worshipping Krishna, I am worshipping Love itself. Not only is Love a feeling of Bliss and caring, in a spiritual context, it represents the connection and Oneness of everything. So by Loving Love, we can experience our relationship with the entire universe.

I think that this perspective is fair enough. I can relate to the feeling of scepticism for things that lack evidence. But I think that every individual comes from a different place, has a different way of seeing reality and approaching life. And so while I think it reasonable to be an atheist or agnostic, I also think it can be reasonable to be a theist.

How does it ring true to you? What convinces you of the truth of your Gods? When it comes to love, I find that love binds many things together however most things are not bound by it. Some things are bound together by other emotions such as fear, hate, vality, and ambition. Most things are incapable of feeling anything because they are inanimate objects and have nothing to do with it. I have a question. Is Krishna a representation or reality to you?

Why? What are the proofs of their existence?

It's not about proof of existence. I have a connection with that religion, and it goes deeper than just believing in the Gods. It's not something that is explainable, it's just a feeling. And the religion is more of a way to live your life than a belief in Gods themselves. But like I said, it isn't really explainable. You just have to feel it. When I came across the religion for the first time, I just felt the connection. If you can't feel the connection, then you can't really understand it.
