I can only say that one wakes you up and the other puts you to sleep.
Can't answer -- "better" when referring to arts and performance, is nothing but a matter of opinion. As a classical music lover, theater lover, (very poor) pianist, I can only say what I like, what I don't. And on really good days, I might be able to tell you why. (Don't wait for that though -- it's all pretty emotional.)
Always go with Gwar.
I still have a bloodstained (fake blood, from the show) t-shirt somewhere in my closet from a Gwar show.
For those that don't know, you're notoriously supposed to wear a white t-shirt if you're gonna be up front at Gwar. They will "paint" it for you with gore from their theatrics.

Fields of gold. I couldn't listen to the first for neigh a second. If I can't dance, sing, skate, or run to the music or listen to while watching the rain, it's not for me.

It isn't a serious question because I try not to stereotype anyone, especially based on them being fond of a particular type of music. But that was the first thought that came to mind lol.

I can't say I ever listened to Gwar in the sense that I sought out albums to listen to, but I'm a big fan of their thing in general and jumped at the chance to see them live.
Actually, never really do dark lipstick. I have, but not regularly. I've never liked the look on myself.

I know you meant it as an amusing hyperbole when you said "Always go with Gwar", so I mistook that to mean you were more of a fan of their music than you really were.
I am curious though, could it be risky being a female at a Gwar concert in your opinion? I just kinda imagine a lot of the men there would be pumped up on adrenaline, testosterone rage, many would be on drugs, and many would perhaps be fond of a reckless lifestyle.

Oh I would consider Gwar somewhat tame compared to some of my music, and I'm no stranger to metal and moshpits (being around them anyway, I try to stay away from them).
Actually I think most of the people, depending on subgenre, are wholesome, polite, and nice people. A lot of people in hardcore and metalcore for instance were also straight edge so not much drugs. People usually help each other if they get hurt in the pit. My experience is that in more extreme subgenres of metal and punk, there is a strong sense of community and people look out for each other.

Many of the Gwar fans I knew were in institutions, so that may have been the cause of my stereotypical remark.
Some days, depending on my mood, my vote would be Gwar.

I think it depends on subgenre and community.
For instance I recall shows that did not go so well when more mainstream-y numetal bands would play shows with metalcore bands (am thinking of one in particular with Bleeding Through) where things almost devolved into a fight because the cultures were so different.
And I’m not blaming the Bleeding Through fans, it was the other kids causing the problems
