Which language do you speak?I hated foreign languages, and I think it largely transpired from being forced to do it at GCSE. Imagine a classroom where less than half the class have a remote interest in the topic... it was never going to be a particularly productive teaching environment.
I think in general, it's a hard thing to try and generate enthusiasm for. I regret not giving it much attention as I remain pitifully monolingual.

I recall the exact same thing......except for taking a course in the history of architecture. It was soFor me, English was the most boring. I also didn't like history in high school but learned to really like it a lot when in college. The difference was that in college, it wasn't just memorizing names and dates but much more of a focus on why things happened.
