Who Benefits Most from a Patriarchal Society?

No matter how a society is supposed to run, a few people will always end up at the top and reap significantly greater rewards than almost anybody else. Entitlement, greed, power/wealth by virtue of birth and the myth that wealth = hard work will always serve to keep a tiny percentage at the top fat and comfortable.

The poor man rightly thinks "This society hasn't benefited me much". For what patriarchy has done is throw him the bones. True, in traditional societies, he is better off than most women, but that neglects the huge gap between him and those at the top of his society.

It doesn't neglect the gap. It just points out a different one.
