Namaste,

Yeah, and I breathed you into existence. Two can play that game, sistah! :D

Ahh, but you are but a part of the All, the Source, that runs through all life and existence. The spark of life that resides in you is a spark of the Source and is of the same that is in all life. So as much as you can say you breathed me into existence and it would be true, I breathed you into existence as well. We are the same, and so is everything else. ;)

Namaste,

And here I thought hippydom was dead...

Anyways, at least you were very creative. But, if you have the time, please check out the links that were provided in the posts above.

What can I say? I do the hippy hippy shake. :p

Perhaps later on the links, just popping on for a little bit now. Have dinner to make. Can't just leave it to fairies and dragons. Either never gets done or it gets burnt. Be back later.

What formed the moon was long ago there was a large object that slammed into a very ancient and very primitive earth. The collision threw up a bunch of cosmic debris that was caught in the earth's gravitational pull. Over time this debris clustered together and grew larger and larger, until it became our moon.
The other questions I do not know the answers to.

oh the irony.

Perhaps if you were to show that the moon was "built"..?

This fellow has an answer for you:

Namaste,

So far, you have been the only one to answer the question in the manner I had hoped it to be answered. Props, brah.

Also, I wasn't trying to present a showing of whether the moon was built or not, I was just asking...there was no intention from my part...

Namaste,

Isn't that one out of many moon-formation theories?

It wasnt built, it formed.

Why are all the pictures of the moon grey and not colored?

I believe this is because of the composition of the moon, it lacks colour.

I havent seen any blurring.

im guessing because that is just how it formed and probably because of the factors relating to our own planet.

M.V.

This would also relate to composition of the moon.

It's the one that's most accepted. The impact did a lot more than form the moon; it also set our orbit at the current speed, and I believe it's thought that it also set the tilt of the earth. It wasn't just a big object; it was an entire planet.

As for the link, what it contains is not important, as it's not authoritative unless and until it passes peer-review.

Namaste,

True, but what if aliens live on the Moon and are watching us? I wish they can come down and party with us! :D

1. The most famous Carpenter in the World built the Moon.

2. Because the moon is made of dust and dust has no color.

3. Either crappy interlacing of images or they are covering up the Moon Buildings UFO SIGHTINGS DAILY: Moon Buildings (231)

4. Because the Moon is hollow inside for starters and has expanded about 8 times of it's original size since it reformed 4,145 years ago.

5. Because the Moon doesn't have much mass, the Moon is about Half the Size of the Earth but the Moon only has a outer layer 200 miles thick and that is the entirety of the Moon, inside the Moon is a portal to the inside of the Earth and the Moons crust is about 1/3rd the density of Earth crust and only weights about 1/256th of what Earth weighs. I know what you are saying and the Moon did ring like a bell for 10 minutes because Energy waves don't disperse nearly as fast so an explosion that would shake you for a few seconds on Earth would shake you for 256x that amount on Earth, so a 3 second explosion would last almost 13 minutes on the Moon.

I would, too. ^_^

But, if there were aliens living on the moon, how come we can't detect their communications from earth? How do they breathe? What do they eat?

Who built the moon?

The moon wasn't 'built' it began as a large piece of molten lava. There are two theory's and one hypothesis.
Giant impact hypothesis- Dust particles created from the earlier suns development formed the moon. The Moon collided with earth leaving it in its orbit. (Most likely)
Co-formation theory-The moon and earth formed at the same time.
Capture theory-Earth's gravity snagged a passing body

Why are all the pictures of the moon grey and not colored?

Actually Luna is more the color of dark asphalt. It only looks grey because we usually see it lit up in full sunlight while we are on the dark surface of the Earth viewing it in a darkened sky. The type of rocks that Luna is made of is mostly basalt. Basalt is an extrusive volcanic rock. It is formed by rapidly cooling magma at the surface.

Why does Nasa blur out certain portions of the moon in pictures?

National Aeronautics and Space Administration imaging was as good as those of its time. Thus you have some blurred photos. I suggest looking at more recent ones including imaging of the dark side of the moon.

Where Noah's Ark is said to be by some on this forum. As well as swimming in the oceans of Japan with Free Willy.

Why is the Moon so large for a moon?

Luna's size was a result of the mass it contains. If it less it would be smaller. If it had more it would be larger. The moon is a large satellite compared to those of Mars which are small more or less useless minor satellites.

Why did the Moon "ring like a bell" when Nasa blew up some TNT on the surface?

Sound travels in waves.. Sound waves travel by making molecules vibrate. In order for sound to travel there has to be something with molecules for it to travel through. On Earth sound travels to your ears by vibrating air molecules. In space the large empty areas between stars and planets vacuums. There are no molecules to vibrate. There is no sound there.

Must be the voices in your head.

Namaste,

Your response didn't address any of the links.

ps - I don't believe the moon was "built"; I created this thread to have a discourse on the peculiar aspects of our Moon such as its size, it's hallow-ness, and it's formation. The title was for catchy-ness. Trust me, I am not a David Ickean..
