The nanny state, from you can’t smoke to you can’t use cash in some stores or restaurants, this is not good.

What’s worse than that is watching a tragedy play out in America where the $ rules and justice being served is less likely it will be if you have enough $$$,”nobody is above the law” lol.
As someone who as a musician who worked in bars and clubs in the 90s, before the smoking bans, I say thank you for the smoking ban; smoking was a health hazard, it exacerbated my asthma, my hair smelled like ****, and my clothes too. It was awful.

I get that, nobody here can smoke in a bar anymore, you have to smoke outside and it’s a lot less that comes out of a cars exhaust.

Here the supermarkets (I guess you call the Walmart) have 2 checkouts out of 20 self service checkouts that accept cash, this is not good because it will lead to controlling what they allow you to buy when eventually they own your debit card, just my opinion.
I've heard that some places around here do that.

I dislike the self checkouts. If I have to do the work they normally pay an employee to do, I feel they oughta deduct that from my bill.

From what I've heard, self-checkouts may be here to stay, due to continued greed even in the face of a lot of customers not liking it. Outside of some boycott, I don't see many store leaders switching machines back to real cashiers, and a lot of stores can't really be boycotted because they tend to have the stuff that one needs.

It has changed the way I shop to an extent. I am much more likely to use smaller shops, or go online and order elsewhere.

What issues do you find are the ones that have grabbed your heart and mind the most?

Climate Change: Caring for the animals and plants that allow this planet to sustain Life.

Anything related to animals and their safety and care.

Homelessness. Helping and protecting those that can't protect themselves.

Helping Addicts: it's a hard thing to overcome, and I want to help those who want to.

Self-checkouts will remain in place until these places are able to staff checkout lanes with people.

Staffing issues are real.
