Who Created God?

K.Venugopal

God is The First and The Last

He is without begining and without end

He is Eternal
Islam says that God is Allah and is separate from His creation. Hinduism says that God is life, the very essence of our being.

"For someone that is about to commit suicide, developing faith may save them by giving them hope and a reason to live."

In my view, developing faith IS suicide.

Faith may sometimes turn out to be crutches - your healthy legs would suffer from entropy due to non-use.

Exactly. Faith is crutches for a weak, feeble mind
suffeingr from entropy due to non-use.

I think we created God(S). I've never heard any other living beings speak of the God(s). Eventhough most living beings can't speak.

Everyday I contemplate the existence of a Godhead. I truly believe that only time will tell.

Dawkins points out that this explanation is lacking an explanation itself. God is a bad explanation because he does not explain that which is real. God in all his complexity may be able to explain the universe but we need something to explain him. So what do you think of Dawkin's one-liner?

I would say we have the universe to explain him (or her, or it) since I don't see God and the universe as being seperable, they're one and the same.

How so?

After all, one of the reasons I chose my religion was to find my Self.

Got any evidence that ALL religious people are weak and feeble minded?

So far, I haven't heard a reason why the human imagination created God...
There are very good reasons for holding that opinion. It is obvious that human beings have been inventing false gods since the beginning to recorded history. There are just too many folk tales and myths to dismiss that conclusion. Moreover, the universe that we find ourselves in today is vastly different from the ones in which those gods were thought to exist. Given this tendency for humans to invent gods, and given the lack of clear evidence for the ones currently in vogue, it is reasonable to conclude that any particular god (e.g. the Christian God) is also an invention of human imagination. As to why human beings invent gods, one can offer a great many explanations for that, as well.

And what is the reason for those explanations? (I am aware of the fact that there are several mythologies, that, BTW, are all very similar. Ever read Campbell?)
