Who do you believe, America?

"CNBC Chief Washington Correspondent John Harwood, whose cosy relationship with the Clinton campaign was exposed in the Podesta Leaks, asked which source Americans believe regarding the hacking of the Democratic National Committee – WikiLeaks or US Intelligence ... Harwood, who is also a contributor for the New York Times, launched the poll on Thursday and it received more than 19,000 votes within 14 hours ... WikiLeaks is, so far, hugely surpassing US Intelligence officials, accumulating 74 per cent of the vote. Only a quarter of those polled say they believe US Intelligence officials." (source)

Why are you posting this? Do you think it means something? This is a non-random, non-representative, non-scientific poll. The odds that it accurately reflects American opinion as a whole are pretty low.

Besides, even if by some miracle your poll did accurately reflect American opinion, what could a rational person make of it? To suggest that, because 74% of Americans trust WikiLeaks over various US intelligence agencies, WikiLeaks is more reliable than the CIA, FBI, NSA, etc is to indulge oneself in a bandwagon fallacy of logic.

So why are you posting this?

I am posting this because it is informative of the thoughts of Twitter users.

No, it is informative on the thoughts of a sub-section of Twitter users. 19,000 Twitter uses(likely with white supremacist, oh I'm sorry "alt-right" sympathies) does not represent any meaningful % of the American people. Unlike the 65 million, otherwise known as 48& of voters who supported Clinton.

I dont have a lot of faith in either. Its not like the government hasn't lied before, and Wikileaks? How credible is that?

No rational person would give it any more attention than necessary.
Unfortunately many enjoy indulging themselves in a bandwagon fallacy of logic.
I believe there is such a bandwagon here on RF.

It's informative of the thoughts of evil Russian terrorists lying as part of their attempt to destroy America with the aide and comfort of their puppet donny and those that they've bought and paid for in donny's regeme.

No, it is a very select group of twitter users. Mostly his followers. It is like going to a Clinton rally and asking the same question. The results would be 180 in the other direction. Audience matters in these sorts of polls.

I don't trust either of them. Why would the US intelligence agency lie about something that isn't going to go anywhere? Except that Wikileaks comes along and "exposes them as liars" in the Globalist controlled media. Which starts a debate in the public arena, destablizing the public trust in our Nationalism. Soon they'll have us begging for UN oversight.

What's so evil about Russia (apart from this alleged incident)?

So, his followers - presumably Democrats - voted that they believe in Wikileaks more than US Intelligence. Gotcha.

and Wikileaks? How credible is that?

How credible is the guy hiding from a rape charge, Julian Assange? The guy with an enormous grudge against Clinton/Obama due to his current living arrangements, whose very freedom for the rest of his natural life is potentially at stake, and who could really do with someone with in office with a more favourable view towards him?

Can't see any reason to believe he might be economical with the truth on this issue...

They should do a survey on the opinions of the Internet Trolls, to see how they feel about it as well. But I'm not trying to throw this discussion off topic, but what was on the Podesta's emails? All of this blaming the Russians had prevented me from investigating what was on those emails.
